Terms of Service

Last updated: May 5, 2026

Welcome to Dental Hygiene Development Hub ("DHDH"). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

DHDH is a private, members-only community for registered dental hygienists who are currently licensed in a Canadian province or territory. By registering you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you hold (or are a recent graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program working toward) a current registration. We verify registration before granting full access.

2. Account responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
  • One account per person. Sharing accounts results in immediate, permanent suspension.
  • You must use real, accurate identity information during verification.
  • Notify us immediately at support@dhdh.ca if you suspect your account has been compromised.

3. Membership and payments

DHDH offers four membership tiers, each starting with a 30-day first-month-free period:

  • Student & New Grad — $5/month or $45/year (CAD). Requires proof of student status or graduation within the last 2 years.
  • The Community — $9/month or $79/year (CAD).
  • The Hygienist — $17/month or $149/year (CAD).
  • RDH Pro — $29/month or $249/year (CAD). A founding-rate of $19/month or $199/year is available to the first 100 Pro subscribers who join before December 31, 2026, locked for the lifetime of the subscription (the founding price will never increase as long as the subscription remains active and uninterrupted).

All amounts are in Canadian dollars, plus applicable provincial taxes. Payments are processed by Stripe.

  • Subscriptions auto-renew. Cancel anytime under Settings → Membership; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Receipts are issued automatically and emailed to you with provincial tax breakdown for your tax records.
  • Refunds are issued at our discretion, generally only for technical billing errors. The first-month-free period exists so you can evaluate without risk.
  • Tier features are gated server-side. If you downgrade, access to higher-tier features ends at the next renewal.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Share patient-identifying information in any form. This is a hard rule. Violations are reviewed individually and may result in immediate ban and reporting to your provincial regulator.
  • Do not redistribute member-only content (wage data, anonymous posts, clinic reviews, private messages) outside the platform without each contributor's consent.
  • Use the platform for commercial solicitation outside the Preferred Partners program.
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against any member.
  • Post content that violates Canadian law or your provincial regulator's standards of conduct.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or republish platform content.
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or security controls.
  • Misuse the AI assistant ("Hygiena") to generate medical/legal/financial advice for patients.

5. Member-content protection

Member-contributed content (wage data, anonymous posts, clinic reviews, private messages) is private to the DHDH community. The platform imprints an invisible watermark identifying the viewing member on sensitive pages so redistributed copies can be traced back. Sharing member-only content outside DHDH without each contributor's consent is a violation of these Terms and may result in suspension or permanent account closure.

6. User content

You retain ownership of content you post (discussions, replies, reviews, etc.). By posting, you grant DHDH a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content within the platform for the purpose of operating the service. You may delete your own posts at any time; deletion may be retained in backups for up to 90 days.

7. AI features (Hygiena)

Hygiena is an AI assistant powered by third-party language models. Hygiena's output is educational only and does not constitute clinical, medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. Always defer to your provincial regulator, your clinic's protocols, and your own clinical judgment. Daily usage caps apply (currently 10 messages/day for trial members, 50/day for verified members).

8. Wage Transparency, Clinic Ratings, and other community-sourced data

Wage submissions, clinic ratings, and similar member-contributed data are provided "as is" by members. DHDH does not verify the accuracy of individual submissions. Use this data as directional information only — not as the sole basis for employment decisions or clinic complaints.

9. Verification

We reserve the right to suspend access pending verification or to reject verification if we cannot confirm your registration. False verification claims may be reported to the relevant provincial regulator.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time under Settings → Profile. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. On termination, your access ends immediately; data is retained per our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

DHDH is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DHDH and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the platform. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees you have paid us in the preceding 12 months.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DHDH and its operators from any claim arising out of your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Alberta, Canada.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and an in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
